Data Accuracy & Sources

Fantasy Flix relies on third-party industry sources and public financial reporting for real-world Box Office data and critical scores (such as Rotten Tomatoes or Metacritic). While we strive for 100% accuracy, please note:

• Reporting Delays: Box Office numbers are often reported as "estimates" on Sundays and "actuals" on Mondays/Tuesdays. Fantasy Flix scores may update as official data is confirmed.
• Data Revisions: Occasionally, studios or tracking services revise historical data. Fantasy Flix reserves the right to adjust in-game scoring to reflect the most accurate official data available.
• Independent Platform: Fantasy Flix is an independent fantasy game. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any movie studio, streaming platform, or the Motion Picture Academy. All movie titles, posters, and trademarks are the property of their respective owners and are used here for informational and "fair use" gaming purposes only.
• No Real-Money Wagering: Fantasy Flix is a game of skill intended for entertainment purposes. We do not facilitate real-money gambling or wagering based on box office outcomes.

Welcome to Fantasy Flix. By accessing our mobile application or the fantasyflix.app website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

1. Eligibility & Account Setup

• Age Requirement: You must be at least 12 years of age to create an account.
• Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
• One Account Per User: To maintain the integrity of competitive leagues, users are prohibited from creating multiple accounts to manipulate draft outcomes.

2. Game Rules & Scoring

• The 2.5x Multiplier: Users acknowledge that every movie drafted carries a "Budget Debt" equal to 2.5 times its official production budget. Scoring only turns positive once the film's worldwide box office exceeds this amount.
• Bomb Picks: Users may draft "Bomb Picks" to assign to rivals. Once assigned, the recipient is responsible for that film's debt.
• Data Sources: Fantasy Flix uses third-party data for box office figures and critical scores. While we strive for accuracy, we are not responsible for delays or revisions in official industry reporting.
• Finality of Results: League standings are considered final 48 hours after the "Actuals" are reported for the final weekend of a season.

3. Intellectual Property

• App Ownership: The Fantasy Flix name, logo, and original scoring algorithms are the exclusive property of the developer and are protected by copyright laws.
• Fair Use: Movie titles, posters, and trailers are used under Fair Use principles for the purpose of transformative gameplay, news, and commentary. Fantasy Flix is not affiliated with any movie studio or the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

4. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use any automated system (bots, scrapers) to access game data.
• Create league names or studio names that are defamatory, obscene, or promote hate speech.
• Engage in "collusion" (illegal trading between accounts to rig a league).

5. Limitation of Liability

Fantasy Flix is provided "as is" for entertainment purposes only. We do not guarantee that the app will be error-free or that real-world box office data will be updated instantly. We are not liable for any losses (perceived or otherwise) resulting from app downtime or data reporting errors.

6. Account Deletion

In compliance with Apple App Store policies, users may delete their accounts and all associated data at any time via the Settings menu. Deletion is permanent and cannot be reversed.
